Fridays, July 12 and 19

Posted: July 22, 2013 by trudreamr in FQFs: Five Question Fridays

I am embarrassed. I noticed on Wednesday that I hadn’t posted on July 12, and I thought to myself, “Well, it’s been a long time…I’ll just apologize and post it along with July 19’s FQF.” However, as you can see, that didn’t happen either. I have been getting ready for a trip, and Ms. Woods has been on a trip. We only have twelve questions prepared, which is only two extra, but I forsee an extra in the future (remember the promise: 450 Facebook Likes, 200 ratings on GoodReads.com (total between all 3 books), 75 Reviews on Amazon (total between all 3 books), or 7500 followers on Twitter)!

19. Are your grandparents still married?

Both sets of grandparents stayed married until one of them passed. Neither grandfather ever remarried (or will get remarried).

20. Have you ever taken karate lessons?

No, I took ballet.

21. Do you know who Kermit the frog is?

Yup, I lived for the Muppets when I was younger.

22. What’s the first amusement park you’ve been to?

I was told I went to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm in SoCal when I was three. I think it’s a trick. There is no photo evidence, but then again, it was the 1970s and people were stingy with film. 😉

23. What language, besides your native language, would you like to be fluent in?

French, German, Spanish, Italian, and…and… Unfortunately, I do not have a gift with languages. Sigh.

24. Do you spell the color as grey or gray?

Grey. Both spellings are correct in the US, but I chose the British spelling. I think it’s prettier. Maybe it’s all the years of teaching British Literature rubbing off.

25. Is your father bald?

Nope

26. Do you know triplets?

Nope

27. Do you prefer Titanic or The Notebook?

Now for my confession. I have never seen The Notebook. I did see Titanic twice in the theatres before I got burned out by all the hype.

28. Have you ever had Indian food?

Yes, LOVE it.

29. What’s the name of your favorite restaurant?

Capers or Bogey’s for a local places. Cheesecake Factory or Maggiano’s for major chains.

30. Have you ever been to Olive Garden?

Yes, I used to eat there all the time. Oh, the days before children.

Friday, July 5

Posted: July 6, 2013 by trudreamr in FQFs: Five Question Fridays

The 4th of July completely threw me off, and I missed yesterday’s FQF. I apologize and have included extra questions as retribution.

11. What would you name your daughter if you had one?

I do have a daughter, and her name may appear in my books. 🙂

12. What would you name your son if you had one?

I also have a son. I love old fashioned names, so we used my great grandfather’s: Morgan. It wasn’t a unisex name in the late 1800’s.

13. What’s the worst grade you got on a test?

F. Yup, I mega bombed a Biology exam in college, but that is a long story.

14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a child?

Just one? Wonder Woman, Battlestar Galactica, Eight is Enough, MASH, and Star Trek (reruns). I guess I liked campy and funny.

15. What did you dress up as on Halloween when you were eight?

I think I was a spy (trench coat, mustache, & fedora), or I may have been a vampire (purple satin cape and pastel pink nightgown).

16. Have you read any of the Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Twilight series?

I have read Twilight & Hunger Games. I have only read part of Harry Potter but loved what I read.

17. Would you rather have an American accent or a British accent?

I love being an American, but I do love a British accent. Although, anything different from what you normally hear becomes exotic.

18. Did your mother go to college?

Yes
